Information the test does not ask for
Version 1 does not request a name, email address, birthday, gender, sexual orientation, relationship status, or demographic profile. It does not require an account or server session.
Local test data
Progress, raw answers, the latest result, and Private Boundary Map choices are stored in your browser's local storage when available. This allows refresh recovery on that device. If storage is blocked, the test continues in memory and progress may disappear on refresh.
You can remove test data by selecting Retake from the result and starting over, by clearing the Private Boundary Map, or by clearing site data in your browser. Local data does not automatically synchronize across devices.
Messages you send us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use that information to reply, investigate a correction, or handle a privacy request. Do not include raw test answers, boundary choices, or other intimate details. Messages are delivered through Google email services, which process them under Google's Privacy Policy.
Shared result links
A link is created only after a user chooses a share action. Its URL fragment contains a model version, profile name, optional secondary profile, 10 rounded role scores, and eight rounded preference scores. It does not contain raw answers, question IDs, uncertainty locations, boundary choices, a sender ID, or a timestamp. Older links may contain only the profile and eight preference scores.
The fragment is not sent to BDSMTest.top in the HTTP request. After a receiving browser validates it, the fragment is removed from the address bar and the summary is held in memory. However, the app used to send the link and anyone holding the link can see the encoded summary. It is not encrypted, does not prove who created it, and does not prevent intentional modification.
Result images and QR codes
Result PNGs and QR codes are generated locally. They are not uploaded to an image service. A result image shows the profile and 10 role scores, but never raw answers or the Boundary Map.
Analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4, with measurement ID G-28B43KH2T1, to understand ordinary page visits and general site usage. Google Analytics may process information such as the page path, referral source, browser and device information, approximate location, and analytics identifiers or cookies. Google processes this information under its Privacy Policy.
The analytics configuration removes the URL fragment before the first page view is sent. It does not send the #r= shared-result payload, raw answers, scores, profiles, question progress, Private Boundary Map choices, or free-form user content. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled. You can limit analytics storage by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser.
No advertising script is enabled in the current release. Advertising is prohibited during the test, around the shared-result call to action, and inside the private boundary area.
Hosting logs and external platforms
Cloudflare may process ordinary request information needed to deliver static files, such as IP address, user agent, requested path, and security signals. URL fragments are not part of those HTTP requests. We do not maintain a separate server-side database of these logs. Cloudflare handles this data under its service terms and Privacy Policy.
When you open WhatsApp, Telegram, Bluesky, X, Reddit, Facebook, or another share destination, that destination receives the information needed for your chosen share action and applies its own privacy terms.
Why information is processed and how long it is kept
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, ordinary hosting data is processed to provide and secure the site, analytics data is processed to understand and improve the service, and contact messages are processed to respond to your request and maintain necessary records. We rely on legitimate operational interests, steps you ask us to take, consent where specifically requested, and legal obligations where applicable.
Local test data remains on your device until you remove it or the browser clears it. Google Analytics and Cloudflare apply their own retention controls to data they process. Email is kept only as long as reasonably needed to finish the conversation, handle security or abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Automated scoring
The browser calculates role and preference scores from fixed formulas. The scoring does not create legal effects, make eligibility decisions, or identify you to BDSMTest.top. The formulas and model limits are described on the methodology page.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can delete local test data through the controls described above. A shared link or image cannot be recalled after you send or publish it, so choose the audience carefully.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and to complain to a local data protection authority. Because raw test data stays in your browser, we normally cannot retrieve or identify it. For questions or requests about an email you sent us, contact th.houtong@gmail.com.
Adults only
The interactive test is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly ask minors to provide personal information. If you believe a minor has sent personal information by email, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Policy changes
Material changes to data collection will be reflected here before they are enabled. The effective date for this version is July 15, 2026.
